2013 SSII M3 - Phase 1

I recently sold my 2008 M3 Alpine White Sedan after 4 glorious years of ownership. I loved the car but had an opportunity to sell it to a family member quickly and easily. After considering all of my options, I chose to replace it with another M3. I did so for all of the reasons I bought an M3 in the first place - great all-around performance car, fantastic V8 noise, reliable, fun, etc. I incorporated everything I learned on my first M3 to assemble the options and modifications listed below. Enjoy!

2013 E92 M3
  • Silverstone II (I love the blue undertones in this color)
  • Black Extended Leather
  • DCT (had 6MT last time - I'm liking DCT so far!)
  • Premium Package
  • Enhanced Premium Sound
  • Heated Seats (skipped cold weather package to avoid headlight washers)
  • Rear spoiler delete (plan to add BMW Performance spoiler)
  • No EDC (I knew coil-overs would be installed immediately)
  • No Competition Package (didn't want EDC, didn't want 19" wheels)
  • 18" wheels (originally planned to sell but now I'm considering keeping them for track use)

** I ordered the car through Steve Thomas BMW - I highly recommend them! It was one of the easiest car transactions that I have ever had.

Modification List:
  • OEM bumper with shaved reflectors by IND
  • Slotted Tow Hook Cover by IND
  • Macht Schnell Motorsport Tow Strap
  • Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust
  • ESS Tune
  • KW Clubsport 3-Way Suspension
  • Stoptech Trophy - 380mm / 355mm
  • HRE R43 - 18 x 9.5 et 27 (added 5mm spacer - effective et 22mm), 18 x 11 et 30 (added 12mm spacer - effective et 18mm) - No Rubbing
  • Michelin Supersport Tires - 275/35/18 - 285/35/18
  • Turner Motorsports Spacers - 5mm / 12mm
  • Turner Motorsports Wheel Studs - 90mm
  • Turner Motorsports Race Lug Nuts - 19mm, Yellow Zinc Plated
  • BMW Edition Grills and Gills

Shop - MRF Engineering (Lake Forest, CA)
All of the install work was done by Malek at MRF Engineering. His attention to detail is fantastic. Malek knows his stuff, is great to deal with, his price is fair, and he stands behind his work. I highly recommend him!

Love it! Are you getting an aftermarket trunk, OEM Performance Spoiler or anything? Looks naked on the back.

Great project and great color.

I went from a 08 Alpine white manual to a 2009 SII Dct and have never looked back.

Love the wheels.

I ordered the car with the rear spoiler delete because I plan to add the BMW Performance spoiler. I just wanted to save a few mods for the future.

I'm not a fan of aftermarket trunks. I have yet to see one that fits decently. I'm a stickler for the details; I couldn't handle the wide gaps I have seen on carbon trunks.

Nice! You sure don't waste time! I'm right behind you on a Silverstone II...albeit a tamer version this time around.

Thanks! Yes almost the same wheels. I think I had 9" in the front when you saw them... I now have 9.5" and added spacers.
