Which stoptech kit?

I am looking at which ST setup to get for my newly acquired e92 m3.
I had stoptechs on my e46 a few years back and loved the track performance and pad choice.

I am running RAC 19" on the street but would like to run an 18" track wheel probably the Volk g2 18x10 that TMS carries.

I am going to do all 4 wheels and my question really boils down to which size front to get 380 vs 340. I think the bigger ones would be needed on the track with the e92's girth but I am pretty focused on running 18s on track days.

Any light non staggered wheels in 18" clear the 380s?

Would the 340 f and r setup be more than adequate for track use?
I will be using r compound and running in the advance group FWIW

Get the 380 kit and some APEX wheels.
MANY have this set-up and are very happy with it.

As for the non-staggard, you might want to consider going 9.5/10.5 since this car's rear end WILL come out, where the E46 would just PLOW.

Do you mean 380 vs 355?

Many 18" wheels on the market will fit StopTech 380 front, including stock 18s with a spacer.

My track customers have tried both and you can't go wrong with either. One consideration is that replacement parts (rotors/pads) for the 355 front kit will be lower.

380's will easily fit under most aftermarket 18" wheels.

355x35 kit will take just about any HPDE and track days you can throw at it.

Either should be great. I went with 380 just because I figured the car is heavy and can use all of the heat dissipation it can get, but I know 355 work well for a whole lot of people too. It is a pain to make sure 18's will fit over them, but the Apex's I have work great and there are several other wheels that will as well. It is just one more thing to have to think about.

Yeah I had the 355s on my E46 and thought with the extra weight the 380s might be better suited.

I ended up ordering the bigger kit.
I am going to do the Apex 18" square setup for the track so should be good on clearance

StopTech is a great choice. I have the 380 6-piston/355 4-piston setup and have been very happy with it over two HPDE seasons. The 380mm ST60 fronts fit under my 18x10" Forgeline GA3Rs and can pretty much stand the car on its nose.

Do pay attention to where the balancing wheel weights are positioned on the barrel of the Apexes, though--with my Forgelines, the clearance between the inner wheel barrel and the caliper's shoulder can be pretty tight if the weights are in the wrong spot. Ask your tire shop/speed shop to use lower profile wheel weights instead of the chunky OEM ones that BMW uses.
