identifying oem black (gts) 359s
just bought a set of black zcp 359s that are claimed to be factory black/gts...after receiving the wheels yesterday, i believe this to be true because a) the seller is a stand up dude and b) the finish on the wheels is exceptional...
that said, because both the black and silver part numbers appear on the inside of the wheels, i'm not sure how someone (other than the original buyer i guess) is supposed to know for sure whether their set is factory black or if it's been painted/powder coated after the fact...anybody know of any definitive indicators i can look for?

post pictures, typically you can tell by the color of the wheels whether or not they are actual GTS wheels. GTS is a flatter black, people typically get powdercoated gloss black.

this is a crappy iphone pic, so in case it's not clear, it's def more of a flat black...but there has to be some better/more definitive way to tell than trying to assess the finish, right?

can you get me a part number? Last time I checked, it was damn hard to get the actual gts wheels.

the gts part numbers are;
36112284150 fronts 36112284151 rears and as aajami points out, they're readily available at tischer and turner (and probably others)...and as i mentioned, both the silver and black part numbers appear in all 359s (i currently have a black and silver set)... unfortunately the guy i bought from is not the original retail purchaser either...i'm sure i could probably track it down if i really wanted, but is there something specific in the invoice that would identify them as factory black? (i'd think a "description" field would be iffy at best)... daft -- i'm guessing your wheels are mounted on your car, but would you happen to have pics of the back?

They have a more rubbery texture than the painted ones. I've seen a couple that were painted compared to mine and they looked a lot more glossy.
