CF Splitters, Dinan and Summer Tires back on =)
Had been doing a lot of small cosmetics and decided to take a step up, found used Dinan Exhaust locally (just axle back), had it installed along with set of rep. CF Splitters at ACM, they had me in and out quickly and were a good bunch of guys. Alex gave me a quick spin in his ESS625 with Challenge+Akra setup...needless to say, just having the Dinan axle back couldn't compare in sound hehe.
Nonetheless, the Dinan is as advertised - it's a very grown up sounding exhaust...it's a buttery smooth sound, it gives it a deeper tone from 2-3500rpm, maybe 30% louder than stock. No drone (which was key for me), so I feel like even adding an xpipe and a bit more volume would be pretty sweet and not annoying at all. Look wise, I'm pretty happy, I wasn't sure about the black tips on black car but had seen some pics on the forums of another member with black/black tips...I actually really like it for stealthy'ness. Rep Splitters do the trick, already on a black car they're subtle so I really didn't want to fork out big bucks. A lip would be asking for trouble in NJ/NYC...so splitters were the choice for me. Guy at ACM said they fit well for reps so I can't complain. Finally put on my OEM 19s again...I run a rep set of 18s for winters...19s felt good going back on, firmer ride but handling feel is enhanced on the PS2s. I had some sh*t luck when I first got the car last November...managed to bubble front left and puncture left rear within the first week of ownership...so there's a pic of 6 tires/wheels in the car when I took them all to get mounted hehe. What's next...dunno. Debating if I should lower it...or get xpipe...going with jet black bmw and M3 emblems next. With the M being so good out of the box, it doesn't make me feel like I have to be in the hurry with mods...I mean, the car looks boss...unless I got to a meet and see cars with aftermarket rims and slammed lol...then mine looks like nothing special =( But I know...it's got the goods...rims and springs...and I'd be right there. Current mods: Gloss Black Grill RPI Scoops (Red) Painted Reflectors CF Splitters OEM Blacklines ZCP Shift Knob AA Air Filter Dinan Exhaust M3 pedals with rubber grips (big improvement over cheapo stock things) |

I got them off ebay so not even sure, but they're the ones from China for $135+$40 shipping
Yeah, paint is in pretty good condition...car was actually dirty in the pics but you can't tell too much...I just had front bumper repainted after valet scratched it up (got them to pay for it though!), the bonus out of all the hassle was that I got the license plate holes filled =) |

I've been contemplating the CF splitters but a part of me thinks they look better painted black. That black exhaust really changes the attitude of a black car. Might as well coat the wheels!
