Premier Mobile Clear Bra Review

Hey all, I started a thread about a week ago explaining how I was getting my full hood, full fenders, full bumper, headlights, and side mirrors clear bra'd by Premier Mobile. They came to South Bay BMW on Sunday to do the job before I came to pick up the car. Took them just over four hours to finish. Everything turned out perfectly. They wrapped the edges of the bra under each part, that way you can't see a single line. There's no way you would know a clear bra is on the car, it's that good of a job. For those who want to know, they used Venture Shield wrap and the total cost came to $1,990. It wasn't cheap by any means, but in this case I definitely got what I paid for. Only qualms I have are a few hairline scratches along the passenger side of the hood, but Premier is coming back in May to fix those. Many thanks to Sam and Wilson @ Premier for accommodating me with my last minute requests. Some pics to share:

it doesn't even look like there is anything there. YOu sure you had it done?! they are very good at this, imo, the best in the biz. coupled with the type bra they use, the paint underneath shines right through.

off topic, how do you like the car!!!

The car's incredible. Waiting 1,200 miles before I can really open it up is torture. You'll see it sometime soon inmot.

normally the dealers dont like this. often times due to insurance reasons.

these guys do good work , I think they learned the biz from my installer. Doza Designs will come and do it in your own garage though.

Premier goes wherever you want them to go, it was just convenient for me to have it all done at the dealer.

Xcellere,

I recently spoke w/ a 3M installer and he doesn't recommend me doing the full hood b/c imperfections in the 3M wrap plastic become very visible when doing the full hood, he said he could go all the way upto the bulge but doesn't recommend going past it. Have you noticed any imperfections in the 3M wrap? this guys work is apparently is top notch and was just wondering how your came out, his quote is a $1460 for front bumper, side skirts wheel archs, headlights, and partial hood and fenders.

What do you think?

I think buschy's right. I have it on all of my hoods (incl my M3) and I do not see any problems anywhere. Should look elsewhere for someone capable.

Find somebody who works with Venture Shield wrap. It's totally fine if the installer knows what he's doing. The hood bulge is covered and there aren't any seems to be found. In fact, there isn't a single flaw to be found on the clear bra now and it's all but impossible to see any signs of it.

Here is the "real" question IMHO. Is there a place to get ceramic window tint (Huper Optik or Formula One) AND VentureShield done by one shop at one time a reasonable price? And no, I don't think $2k for a freakin clear bra is by any stretch "reasonable". Sure I know it take good materials, talented labor, practice and attention to detail. But so does window tinting. Put it in perspective 19" wheels and tires costs about the same on the M3 and for a bit more you can get a M-DCT!

Curious - the paint looks very shiny with the clear bra.. is it hard to keep the shine even on the unprotected half of the car?

yeah I'm looking for one but everyone I've spoken with is using 3M and thats the issue...from my understanding Ventura Shield is the way to go for full wrap...

thanks sayemthree. However, it is untrue as to us learning the biz from Doza or EDL. We will publicly call them on this if this is something they are saying

The M3 hood is definitely not easy to do, but is not as tough as this:
