Wheel bearing question

I had my 2011 E93 in for it's 1200 mile service and two days after I got it back I got an ABS failure warning along with a DSC warning. I thought it might be related to the DCT reprogramming they did at the 1200 mile service. I took it back for service and they are telling me it is related to a failure of my right rear wheel bearing. The problem is BMW has no wheel bearings in this country. They have to be back ordered from Germany. What they have done is repair the wheel bearing and taken the car on a 15 mile test drive with no ABS/DSC warning. They want me to drive it and they will keep the new part for me when it arrives in case the beating failure recurs. Does this make sense?

Thanks in advance.

Bob
