Blah, if i was looking for a BMW sedan I would take an F10 over it. I'm curious to see what the M4 gran coupe will look like.

Excellent - can't wait to see if the M3 looks as good as the recent speculation - Good Job BMW

Not bad, but that fugly hood line just kills the whole front end.

Headlight is too skinny, and I don't like the small part that extends to the kidney grill.
The rear of the car looks good. Same with the interior.

They're finally starting to sexy-up their interiors too

Although the interior is an improvement, I find the center stack to look like it came from a Civic and the steering wheel options are a little blah.
Don't love the front... don't hate it either. I really like the rear on the sedan, much improved over the current generation.

In front of the shifter in an enclosed compartment. Much better than the dash pop outs IMO.

They're where the ashtray used to be, they're hidden with a cover. Quite nice.
Covered when not in use:

My question is: why BMW wants the new 3-Series to have a new 1-Series look with this "droopy front" and plain interior?
I saw the new 1-Series at the Munich airport and its front is a disgrace due to its exagerated "droopyness". I mean, the ugly headlights only serve to point out that suddenly the hood is expected to become one with the road in front any time soon. And that what ends up doing is making the car look inexpensive, with a big front overhang... like it is front wheel drive. Now I see this 3-Series and it is the same impression. |

The cars have gone boy racer though. The blue strip across the dash is ghetto.

Yeah I think that is a theme that is applied in a few areas with this car. It seems like there were two different design teams.. one that wanted a modern/youthful/sporty approach and one that wanted to preserve classic BMW heritage. Mash it all up and you get an F10/E9x mixed rear end with a Z4 front end, with a driver-centric dash with boy-racer accents. My head hurts.

blah...not sporty enough. I still like the E90 better. The new designs take a while to grow on me, but this one I don't think I will like ever. at least not more than E90. The interior is amazing, though.

Not bad...
Front looks great, interior is a huge improvement which has been needed for a while now. I'm not to crazy about the back because i just hate how BMW puts these tiny round exhaust tips while other companies like Lexus and Mercedes are using nicely form fitted exhaust tips that merge into the rear bumper, similar to the new 7 series and 6 series. Overall its a good looking car, perfect for the wife, i'll be waiting for the next M3 though
