As for the 335is / M3 comparison, as good as the 335is was (and it was very good), the M3 really blows it away. Power delivery is very different obviously, but the high revs of the V8 can't be beat. The 335is has more power down low, but starts to struggle around 5500 rpm, which is where the M3 shines. The real difference is the suspension / handling, while the 335is was ok in this department, the M3 is on a whole different level. It is just so planted and tight through the turns, whereas the 335is felt a little bit floaty at times. In the end, both are great cars, but they should never really be compared as they are truly in different leagues / segments. |
