Safety laws have changed the designs of cars as we know them.

Like it or not.

What's more predicable than a bunch of e92 owners ripping on the car that just replaced theirs?

Like the sun and the moon.

E92 owner here who also is a F8x fan. Designs evolve but all M3 cars are winners. YMB is ok but build my M4 in Interlagos Blue.

PS: E9x and F8x fans should stop mixing it up on here, everyone knows the E46 is the true M3

LOL.

Yep and thanks. They are different in many ways; both so much fun and interesting to drive back to back. M4 is getting great reviews; can't wait to drive it as well.

YMB is as ugly as the new M4.The design cues of a german car are missing in this new iteration of 3/4 series. It looks more like a Japanese car than a German car.

Checking back in a year to see how many M3/M4 haters here end up with that car lol

Santorini blue rocks YMB by a mile. If i ordered a M3 SB would be very high on my list along with Imola Red.

Santorini is indeed a better blue than YMB, but whoever thought YMB looks like the handicap blue needs to get their eyes (or monitor) checked.

Also, it's as if no one on this thread has seen the F80 before. IMO the F80 looks better (more grown up, classier, beefier, more modern, yet still aggressive) than the heavily modded E92 coupe which looks good but a bit dated and juvenile with all the aftermarket bits.

Why are people still talking about the hood line?

And yet, Porsche found a way to make put this line much lower and shorter as they did with the clamshell design of the hood on the Macan. And I think MB has done a better job of dealing with this hood line. The line straight across the hood takes very little design imagination or talent in my view. They can do better. Maybe in the next generation.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks the E92 looks very very dated next to the F80. Every time I see one on the road now, the front end looks terribly dated. The E46 on the hand doesn't seem dated at all to me.

On looks alone the F8X is miles a head of the E9X

LOL, I still haven't been able to part with my IB E46 M3. The E92 is all about the V8 for me, but perhaps little weight loss would go a long way towards parting with the E46. My E46 weighs in just a hair under 3300lbs with full interior and a half a tank of fuel.
