Not sure if Skip Barber includes all that.
That's still trivial stuff. If I'm paying a few grand for driving school I'd want more value to be in making me a better driver. And driving an open-wheeled racecar is so much more fun than 3300-4300 lbs cars.

I guess the only solution is to do both.

I would love to take M School at some point but I find it to be cost prohibitive. You can get like 10 track days with the CCA for the price of the two day M School. You don't get the free helmet with the CCA though.

I like other members have never tracked before and would like to get some professional Instruction to start off with. Plus getting all the other goodes and a rated helmet which I will be able to use at a track another time.
I have read the reviews and watched video's and I know I will enjoy the 2 day school.
Plan on driving up to SC from Florida arriving day before so I can do the factory tour. Then 2 days of driving bliss before I have to drive back to Florida.
Looking forward to this upcoming road trip!

Does seem pricey but you are getting alot back from it also. Not something I would do on a regular basis but something I feel I have to do. Hoping to meet some like minded people when there.

Totally agree. $3500 plus air for us left coasts adds up quick. I know if we're CCA it's 10% less. But vs. 3 days at Laguna in a race car, tough call. Hard to justifying to do both. But I like the way you think. I know people who did skip barber and said it was great, but don't know anyone who has done both.

Do you have to be an owner to attend the school or is it open to anyone?

3k can pay for a majority of track consumables for a season. M school seems pricey for anyone who's tracking regularly imo.
