Me Too!!! I am leaving on July 15 and going on a 13000KM (8000Mi) trip across Canada & the US. Like you I need to get my car quickly to get the first 2000KM (1200Mi) on it and get the break-in service before I leave.

I'll cross my fingers and hope that my delivery is not delayed too long.

my car's been at hueneme since the 14th and now they're telling me not till June!
apparently they have a dozen technicians being flown out from germany to come and install these, so says my dealer, who knows though...

Calling will not help. I am a Client Advisor and I don't have a definitive answer.

Surely somebody in the BMW Group has the authority to order the person or persons responsible for this fiasco to fix it, and fast. I want to use my BMW to take long trips, and I can't do that in the 135i I currently have. Since I ordered the M3 I've lost another fuel pump and another runflat - I'd suck my thumbnail off with worry driving across Wyoming, Montana and western Canada. Dealerships out there are...sparse.

I spoke to the Autoport (an independent VPC with no affiliation to BMW) in Halifax this morning and was told that BMW Canada gave them instructions to complete the campaigns on Priority 1 (pre-sold) units before units for dealer stock.

This at least tells me that BMW wants to get customers cars delivered quickly as possible.

Ok thanks for the news. Though at this point I know what is going to happen. I am going to leave for my business trip Monday and get a call while I'm on the road saying my car is at the dealership. Then all week while I'm out of state in a government vehicle it is going to be killing me that I don't have my car and I could be burning up some of those 1200 miles.

My CA just told me that he expects to have mine at the dealership sometime this week. But, who knows... This has been anything but a quick transaction. I just hope to have it before the holiday weekend.

My dealer just called the VDC (Port Hueneme, California, in my case) and the person at the VDC told him they expected the part by next week.

Don't feel too bad, mine was in the U.S. a month before it was delivered. I took it three days later to have the windows tinted. They broke a window and scratched the outside of the door, so I haven't seen the car since Friday a.m.

I took ED and my bracket was color-matched. I left it in the trunk for redelivery. My state doesn't require front plates.

I took ED as well and my front, color-matched bracket was in the trunk when I took delivery.

My Delivery Specialist at BMW Welt as well as the LOG IN OUT representative both advised me to take the bracket with me in my carry-on because "nothing loose should remain in the car during transport."

I noticed you said your car should arrive on May 12th... was it on 'ELEKTRA'? My new M3 also arrived on the 12th and the dealer said it's being held up at the VPC due to a shortage of front license plate brackets. Just wondering if you've heard any news on your car...

Estimated dates are June 1/June 2 according to my internal screen. We could so them sooner.
