Just got Huber optik and now problems with CA
Well I already knew tint might cause a problem with comfort access, so I made sure I got ceramic tint. So yesterday I had huber optik installed and now I am having problems with Comfort Access.
What should I do? Will going back to the dealership and having them reset the system help?

I have Huper Optik and CA works just fine. What percentage did you get? I have 30%. Dunno if this makes any difference.

I just experimented a bit, and it seems like now, I have to stand closer to the back passenger seat for it to work correctly. So instead of being in front of the door handle, I have to be infront of the back passenger seat, and reach over with my hand. The passenger side doesn't seem to have any problems, but I haven't really tested it enough.

I have no idea, but people said tint with metals in it might cause interference, that was the reason why i went with the expensive ceramic tint.

This is really weird. Are you sure it's not metal? I'd hate to think they used the wrong stuff by mistake. But this just doesn't make sense. Good luck.

I'm going to experiment a bit more this week, if I can consistenly open the door by standing next to the back passenger window, then I can live with it. I rather leave the tint than remove it and try another brand, especially since the tint was a bit pricey.

Yes Formula one ceramic tint, they specifically told me it wouldn't affect anything on my car.

I have Huber Optik Ceramic 30% side and rear 60% on the front. I do not have any problems with CA nor AM stations. I had it done at a friends shop so I know I actually got ceramic. Do you guys having problems know for sure they installed ceramic on your windows?

Could be that some CA transmitters are weaker than others and tint will still attenuate the signal even if it isn't metallic.
Maybe check your FOB battery? |

The funny thing is the passenger side works without issues at all, and the trunk too. So only the driver's side has a problem and I've tried both keys. I'm due for service on tuesday, i'm going to play dumb with the dealership maybe they can fix it.

I have Huper Optik here as well (drea) and have not had problems.
You may wish to insert the key into the slot while driving to let it charge just in case the battery is low. (the dealer told me that this is necessary from time to time). Someone correct me if the key fob does not charge this way... Kev

Interesting and good feedback PencilGeek. I have Huper Optik and noticed a reduction in the range of my keyfob. I have to wonder if we cut the section of tint off that comes in contact with the antenna if we will increase the reception/range.
