OKTOBERFEST @ Barber in October.....anybody going??

Was just wondering if anybody was going to Oktoberfest at Barber in October? This one is pretty close to me(about 6-7hrs) and i'm thinking about going. I've never been to Oktoberfest before so i'm not sure exactly what's involved. Is it something that you can just show up to and observe or do you HAVE to register for specific events to beable to come at all? Thanks.

I'll be there for my 3rd Ofest. Probably about 20+ people from Houston will be driving up.

If you go to the website there are multiple package options including day packages. To view the concourse on Tuesday is free as well as to watch the track activities throughout the week.

It's a great time. There were a bunch of E9X M3 at Wisconsin last year, so I assume there will be a bunch in attendane this year also.

I missed it when it was here in Atlanta. I'm going this year. I heard that it is a lot fun.

I'll be there from Wed night through Saturday. There are attendee lists on the BMW CCA site along with car types. Lots of M3's in attendance.
I'm doing car control, autox and the DE in that order. Should be fun!

You have to register to participate in anything. I've only attended one, last year at Road America and it was great. Very well organized and lots of interesting stuff going on. Highly recommended, I hope this one is as good as the last one. I'm going, registered for the 5 day driver's ed.

I'd love to, but it's quite a schlep. 5 track days, though, sounds heavenly.

Hey guys, here are some sample pics from O'fest at Barber of E90s/E92s. I was there on Friday afternoon and Saturday. Only had a point and shoot camera with me so the color and clarity is not great. I know at least one of these cars is a member on here - The pics are high resolution and I have a bunch more of the blue E90 and red E92 and you may be able to clean them up with photoshop. If you want the jpegs or want to see more, pm me.

To the rest of you who weren't there, get your cars to Oktoberfest next year! I wasnt able to participate this year so just flew down for a quick taste of what its all about. Cant wait for next year...autocross and track time, absolutely!

Nice pics, you got a few of folks parked next to or near me ( I won't mention names in case they don't want to advertise their track time). Barber was great fun, weather was pretty good and things were pretty well organized.

The sight and sound of that F1 on the track was really a treat, you don't realize how fast that thing is till you see it and everything else looks like slow motion after that! I found out too late about the charity rides in it over lunch and hope they do something like that next year.
