No really need to debate anymore anyway.
Some just choose not to believe certain things anyway.
The M3 is the superior performance car, but doesn't always make it the best car overall or the desired choice by all.

I for one would like one of each.
2010 e92 DCT M3
2011 135i DCT (if they remodel it and make it look less ugly)

A lot faster with equal drivers. Close to a second faster so not even a comparison there (12.5 - 12.6 vs 13.4). Then again, modding it does not change what a high-performance car is supposed to feel and sound like. Like I mentioned before, the 335 sounds and feels downright boring as hell compared to M3 even after driving the highly tuned 335, it sounded just like any other dime a dozen 3-series. Does not matter even if it can go quicker than a Porsche 911 GT3 997 in a straight line, still it will never ever be able to feel and sound like a GT3. End of story.

Anyone who has the means and enthusiasm will never pick the 335 over M3 10/10. I know atleast 20 335 guys (many of them are on this board) that ditched their 335 the first chance they got to get an M3. Pretty much all of them were unanimous that M3 is just in a different league.

Owned a 335 and now an M3........335 was fun but M3 gives you that feeling of pride .....cant explain.....

loll didnt you say your 330ci zhp was a tad bit lower then an e46 m3? Guess what e46 m's were doing 13.4 and zhps 14.4, so suddenly when comaring a e92 m3 to a 335 it turns into not even a "comparison." Modding a car doesnt change its feel and sound?....ah ok right......a 335 sounds boring?...and an m3 sounds FERRARI like?

Please clarify what this "highly tuned" 335 had done to it...i dont know any highly tuned 335 that sounds boring, but then again you know the WHOLE 335 community right.

it is because fanbois like you that gives 335 a bad rap in the BMW circles. The 335 I rode in was my friend's 335 that had JB3 and some basic bolt ons like exhaust etc. Yes, it sounded boring as hell. My 330 CI ZHP exhaust note sounds a lot nicer than that.

If you are a fool enough to not even realize it was "metaphorically" speaking and not comparison, you are not worth wasting my time one. Case in point, GT3 997 runs a 12.0 secs stock in a straight line that could easily be matched by many cars out there that cost half as much. Yet, the sound, feel, excitement and thrill of driving a GT3 could not even dreamed of by those straight line wonder cars. It is classified as the most exciting 911 today, yet it is not even the fastest in the straight line compared to GT2 or Turbo.

No sh*t with 235 HP, its got to be the slowest in a straight line. It still costs way less than any of those other cars. It is still the lightest of the bunch, tossable, tightest and probably has the best steering ratio that was only matched by the ZCP E46 M3 and not the regular M3. It is still the funnest car to auto cross in and toss around in the tightest corners.

Oh did I mention an E46 330 CI ZHP sedan looks wise >>>>>>>>>>>>> the 335 sedan/coupe??
