Neither wheel looks good to me. The Morr VS8s look promising and are lightweight, but would have to see them on an M3 first.

HRE 890R series may be a good option as well of course in a silver finish powdercoat or charcol powercoat.

OK then they do fit!! hahaha, that is why I said "I think not", (please don´t take my word for it). However, I am going with the 405mm rotors that don´t fit the 19´s for sure.

Bahahahaha! I never thought it would be so difficult to choose wheels. To be honest there is no single wheel out there that pleases me entirely. I am thinking the Modular Forged 5 Spoke wheels, see pics here http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135253 or HRE 890 5 spoke as well. Must be as light weight as possible and rather good looking not bling!

Nop, but I think I'm going to go with the HRE 897R in clear-coat face and polished lip. See the pic:

540R is a very nice wheel design I think and is very similar to the C20 (At least I can't tell the difference)! Congrats! I like the 897R because its a bit more aggressive, deeper lip, yet clean w/o bolts or anything like that.

If I wasn't going to get the honeycomb spokes, the 897 was my 2nd choice -- so it appears we have similar tastes.

Regarding lip depth. I spoke with HRE about this. They said lip depth was a function of the application (wheel offset), but not the design. For example, if I were to order the 540, C20, C90, or 890 -- they would all have the same lip depth. Their web site creates the illusion that the different wheels have different lip depths because the pictures they show of the wheels are from differing applications. So the pictures are kind of apples-to-oranges comparison. At least, that's what they told me...

Got it, it makes sense! I was also perhaps a bit misled because in the 890 series it says "deep dish design" as one of its attributes and does not say this in the 540 series. Oh well!! Go figure!! Do you have any idea how much these thing weigh?
