why pay cash. I have @ 846 credit from the banks working for me. Loans in the 2% range; you'd be silly to lay out 50k for a car. Let the bank give you their money.

Absolutely correct. Why sink a ton of money into an asset where it immediately begins depreciating and creating a loss? Instead, one should find a higher yield investment for that cash to outweigh the finance APR (in my case 1.79%) - That way you get to drive your car, and make money! Remember time-value of money from finance class, guys?

What do you do in IT? I'm a CCNP/CCDP also, involved in telecom/IT doing primarily networking and programming for a VoIP PBX hosting company that I am a partner in. I love this field, given today's job market and ever-increasing technological needs, we all have nowhere to go but UP!
