Any September updates for BMWNA-Canada?
Do we see similar changes as our friends to the south?
BMW.ca is always behind the times (i.e. still no Competition Package), so a useless source of information. Does anyone know if there have been any changes to the packages, and pricing in Canada? Cheers

Competion package is not on the configurator as it is a special order item.Sept production for Canada has all the changes.

Do you know the option package updates and pricing? I assume our options continue to be vastly different to those in the US. This is my perspective build:
I just wanted to play with any other option considerations, if there are any. For example, get a feel if we will start with manual seats also and if I'll need something similar to the executive package to "get back" the power seats. Thanks again. James

BMW Canada M - Financing
* disclaimer - I have read months and months worth of information on the USA, but the same isn't available for Canada, so I hope someone here can help.
So as not to spread my questions all over the forum, I'll ask a financing question here to any fellow Canadians who my peruse this thread. I am anticipating placing an order in December 2010 (~3 months from now) for delivery around March. [I may push this a little if I decide to partake in European Delivery for better weather.] I tend to keep my cars for a long time, and an M3 sedan would be no different. As such I prefer to finance rather than lease. Not really the point of the question here but a point of reference. My question in two parts: If by some miracle BMW Canada came out with a special offer rate on the order of say 3.9% / 48Months, (the type of rate that doesn't make me feel like I'm being raked over the coals) in December when I ordered the car, would this rate, or any potential better rate between order and delivery be honoured? [The verbiage on BMW.ca seems to imply rates are only applicable to deliveries by months end - not helpful for orders] Part two: Many a financial institution would be happy to by buy a portion of my home off me, but that isn't up for debate. Where else might I look for a back up financing in the event BMW doesn't move from the ridiculous ~6.95%? Thank you for your consideration.

ZCP is offered on a coupe/vert but not on a sedan...ZCP is special order about $5800 + $400 'order fee' . In the States its available on all M3's but in Canada the sedan is excluded.....was not able to work out why...

Shizzle is correct - you can lock in the rate at time of order (upto a certain period), but if it improves (in the month you collect it) you get the option to take that rate at time of delivery!!!
The reason the lease rate is pretty high and yet the residual quite mundane is to (within reason) assist with residual value. It may sound strange but with the M3 lease, its as if its aimed at the enthusiast only, its not enticing enough to flood the market with over supply!! |

I'm not interested in a lease though. So it is specifically the finance rates that are of interest to me. And if I own the car 8 years as I will have with my current A4, then the residual value will be more of an afterthought by that time. Now all I need is for BMW Canada Financing to offer something I am comfortable with, or it's a trip back to the ole bank for a chat.

EDIT: I read your other post. You should try another dealer. There are a few E90's with ZCP in Canada. |

Actually the problem is with BMW as the "Comp pck" is not in the normal order guide. If the salesman does not know about this package the only way to find out the info is to e-mail BMW according to my contact.I have a problem with this as it should be a normal option and having to pay the $400 special order fee is crazy IMO!
