haha, idk its the only thing they play at clubs where i live, and everytime i hear it the people around me are doing ecstasy, ketamine, etc...(not like they wouldn't be doing that stuff at trance venues, but I haven't been to one yet so trance is still 'pure' to me) so i guess it has a negative connotation for me now...in other words my real life experiences with that genre of music haven't been great..

Trance was pure for me 2-3 years ago. Last few trance events i went to people were rolling out of their minds crawling on the floor. most of them didn't even look 18.

Thats why i love clubs. If you're on the floor security is throwing you out. Mostly house DJs spin at clubs but some trance guys do too and its a better experience. Marcus schulz always kills it every time i see him.

But as for house and trance. I like listening to house live at a club, but listen to more trancey stuff when i work.

I was into trance about 2-3 years also, until i heard Richie Hawtin spin at Nocturnal 2008, that night changed me (that room the whole night was sickk ) Its easy to listen to house all night at a club, cant imagine listening to trance all night. I have to admit tho trance has its moments.

I love trance at work. No words to distract my train of thought. But trance attracts a certain group to clubs that house music seems to be able to filter out.

The only saving grace in AZ is that the 21+ electronic crowd is small. So I'm figuring the club should be pretty empty with their $30+ at door charges that night. And the little candy kids will be off in some desert licking sand and each other.
