Help with extracting DME tune Melbourne
Hi all
Could someone help me out with getting the tune out of my DME so I could get it sent to evolve? Or lend me a cable please? Would like to save time by not waiting for a cable and sending it back. Cheers Phil |

Are you waiting for the Evolve-R cable from the UK? They're pretty fast on posting... In the meantime, download the latest Evolve program and update your windows drivers to the latest...

That's strange, there should be little to no difference if the exchange rate is factored in. I bought my tune from evolve UK as a package so can't comment on the price for just the tune.

It appears with Evolve that Dyno runs are included in the price?
Wouldn't it be beneficial and cheaper to extract the map from the DME and send it to a file service like Heinz-OLS or BC Consulting? |

I'm about to check out, should I add the overrun option? I only have a drop in airfilter and a cat back exhaust. Thinking about an x pipe but I don't want to it to be any louder due to new born. Any advice on how I should sequence my mods. |

Generally, aftermarket x -pipes will definitely make your exhaust louder and is all subject to the cats and resonator setup. Personally, I'm not a big fan of a raspy exhaust sound so having resonators on the x-pipe is a must. Also, most popular x-pipe brands remove primary cats so you need a tune to remove CEL. If it was me, I would install x-pipe first with a specific tune thereafter to match your mods. But you can always go back to evolve and request the tune to suit your x-pipe mod. |
