The funniest thing i saw in recent memory was from a member at 1addicts. This guy was selling a 135 that he supposedly didn't take over 4-5k RPM (or something like that). The car even had some kind of exhaust on it and wheels that looked cartoonish.

I think i felt sorry for both him and the car.

Let's re-title this thread to "Phrases/adjectives you hate seeing when in the market for a used car / used car parts." That way no one has to feel self-conscious...just opinions people...to each, their own.

For sale....2011 135i.....taken to redline more than a few times.....autobahn blasts of 150mph on a regular basis.....tracked on the Ring......average miles.....oil changed regularly(no I'm not putting mileage to avoid all the bullshit "hey this is when it should be done crap").....original RFT's that have made it to 8.5k and still have tread on them and have done several burnouts along with hitting several potholes (no not all of Germany's roads are perfect) without bubbling....ok so my cars not really for sale but I baby it all the time.....my version of babying that is.

You find most modified cars will be babied a bit more than stock cars. Not in the sense of not redlining it etc but taking bumps slowly, letting the engine cool after having a good run or avoiding potholes. But that's just my opinion

You bring up a good point - but is swerving to avoid a pothole, properly cooling the turbos after a good run or letting her warm up before a good run considered babying or proper procedure?

I try to avoid every bump I can (when I'm not jamming through the gears). But I would NEVER tell someone I've babied the car...
