Test pipe mated to exhaust?

Well for those of you that has Turner test pipe what axle back system would you recommend getting to mate with Turner test pipe and stock secondary cats, I am looking for something with no rasp, I was considering corsa or AA. just don't want to spend money and get raspy sound. Any feedback will be appreciated.

You know I have the Megan Racing exhaust, it is actually very refined, pretty aggressive and absolutely no rasp with my TTPs. I know its not an expensive exhaust, but I find it well built so far and it sounds pretty darn good. I for one wish it was a little more aggressive.

do it! mufflers, primary cat delete & tune is duh sheet

primary catdelete vs secondary catdelete

primary catdelete + powerchip tune + catback exhaust

I don't believe they make Megan exhaust for the M3 sedan.

Can you Explain more? Because I'm thinking of getting rid of Akra Mid-pipes and putting back OEM X-pipe without primary cats but still worried this setup might sound very close to Akra Evo which I have right now.

Well you'll go from 100 Cell to 200cell, so thus not as loud

Do you dislike the Akra on cold starts? if so, you need to get a tune to fix that..

I have Evotech software on the car; so the cold start heat cycle is turned off. What I don't like about Akra. Evo is the rough sound of the exhaust which does not exist on Akra. Slip-on.

Good thread. So here is my question. IF you delete the primary cats via test pipe you obviously have to cut your stock x pipe? Are there any other problems associated with just deleting the primary cats and leaving the secondary ones unaltered? IE besides a stupid check engine light? Will this void my warranty on my car?

I'm sure it will void warranty, I purchased another stock xpipe so I can keep mine intact incase I have to do a quick swap.

The mounts should all be the same. The tips extend a bit further. I had an oem e90 m3 catback on my e92 m3 and it was a lil' bit shorter. Not too noticeable. I think maybe an inch and a half off shorter.
