IMO all Alpina's are a waste of money.

So they dropped in a n54, slightly larger FMIC, Akra exhaust and a JB4, then charge £15k for it. Sweet.

I just don't understand why someone would ever buy one of these over an M3.

a significant portion of the price increase for most Alpina cars are those ridiculously ugly wheels...

For one reason only : Ridiculous low end torque which makes it more usable in daily driving. In track use, obviously M3 would be the better of two.

No joke.. they can't even be bothered with developing a new front bumper with integrated aerodynamics.

Just throw that same old tired ass looking lip on there. Nailed it.

The B7 is the biggest joke of them all. Automobile mag. didn't have many nice things to say in their most recent review.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, I just really don't care for them.

Even staying with the 335i, I can do those mods for much less. Just an exhaust and a tune.

Arguably you can go the aftermarket route and mod a car to have the same performance as pretty much any OEM "tuned" version. M3 GTS?

Gonna get flamed, but I like Alpina's work.

I see this as a more refined alternative to the M. Don't get me wrong -- my personal preference would be to own an M car over Alpina. However, Alpina has always carried a more luxurious connotation with it... In my mind anyway.

Alpina's concept as a "factory tuner" for BMW is cool... the actual cars are not so much.

I bought a base corvette coupe...modified the hell out of it and had 700 hp. However, it was never a z06 or Zr1....Same with the B3 (the B stands for Bullshit). Want a fast car? buy the best then modify from there.......stick with a M3...
