Mode Carbon GTS Wing, Recaro, BBS, MRF Engineering

MRF Engineering just completed a fresh round of modifications on my M3. Please excuse the quality of the iphone pics. A legit photo shoot will happen in the near future. So far I'm very pleased with the new goodies! A big thank you to Mode Carbon and MRF Engineering.

Exterior Additions:
  • Mode Carbon GTS Wing
  • Mode Carbon GT4 Front Lip - with MRF aluminum skid plate

Interior Additions:
  • Recaro Profi XL Seats
  • Planted Seat Mounts - Detailed Review to Follow
  • Coding completed by Alex@Alpine to delete seat airbags and occupancy sensors - all other airbags remain funtional

Suspension / Chasis Additions:
  • MRF Solid Subframe Bushings
  • Turner Motorsports Delrin Diff Bushings
  • RD Sport Adjustable Sway bars front and rear

That's cool, it's still pretty light that it doesn't point the lip down huh.

So sick dude. Truth be told I envisioned a Silverstone E92 M like this (except with gold wheels). Everything came out great.

What do you think of the solid mounts?

How are the Profis?

Thanks buddy!

Solid mounts are good but truthfully the biggest difference I notice is the diff whine.

LOVE the Profi XL's. (Note that I have the XL version; the standard profi's are too small for me). My favorite mod in this round. I drove the car all day yesterday (including 6 hours on the road) and they were amazingly comfortable. Great support on the track as well. The XL's have the added bonus of having a large lap belt pass-through which allows the OEM seat belt receiver to be positioned inside the seat. This allows proper placement of the lap belt for street use. It also allows proper fitment of the Schroth Quick Fit Pro's with these seats. I will do a full review soon outlining this. See the pic below from the M3 GTS showing the lap belt receiver placement. The lap belt pass through on the Recaro pole positions and regular profi's are not large enough to accomplish this.

I don't normally like them but this one is wicked. It has a mod list a few pages long. It's damn quick on the track.

Well I can't wait for the write up! The Profi XL is probably the only option for me

That's not a bad thing; XL's are great. I had the Pole Position's in the past (on a previous car) but the shoulder pass throughs are too low unless you are about 5'7" (in addition to the other issue I outlined above). With your height the XL's are most certainly the way to go. Added bonus is that's what BMW puts in the M3 GTS and most of their safety cars.

Does that skid plate really help the lip last longer if your scrape it? Seems like it would...

The car looks great man! The wheels are sick looking!

Yes, that's the point. Instead of scraping the lip, you scrape the skid plate. This is my second skid plate. My first one was thinner aluminum and I wore through it.

Thanks for the compliment.
