Initially the dealer scratched my rim on my '12 E92 ZCP
-they agreed to fix the scratch, and in the week long process they fixed the scratch, but again scratched the paint
-i bitched and requested a paint repair kit and a new replacement front ZCP wheel
-two months later, the new rim arrives and the dealer puts it on
-I ask the service Manager if i can buy the old wheel from them for cheap to use as a spare
-he comes back with a price of about $360
-brand new ZCP wheel shipped online cost between $500-$550..

take the dealer deal, ask for lower price or buy a new one? thanks.

I bought a used 220m here for much less than that. Add on the used tire I found here, and it's still much less than that. If you're patient you can find one here. I'm also using mine as a spare

I believe he wants a ZCP wheel though, 359M if I recall.

if it's a spare, i'd just offer lower than the dealer offered to haggle a bit. You're still getting a same size spare for less than new, and it doesn't need to be new for a spare. I'd say haggle your best then go for it.

I mean, it's a spare. For me, it's to get me back home in the middle of the night so I don't have to wait for AAA to come get me. But even if he's looking for a 359, patience can lead him to a good deal here.

thanks for the feedback. Will ask for a lower price, if no budge, will be patient and look around. no huge hurry since I don't drive her much to begin with.

For a spare, it's not bad. The dealer would probably send it out for repairs and resell for a like new price.
