Anyone wish we could have more than one ///M Drive setting???

I'd love to be able to have two seperate ///M Drive Settings. My current setting has everything full aggressive for spirited driving situations but I wish I could also have a setting so I could set EDC full stiff and the tighter steering for around town driving. Anyone else in the same boat?

That feature definitely would have made me consider MDrive more carefully.

Basically, they need a system where you create driver profiles that cover every possibly setting of the car, and then let you assign them to multiple M buttons (kinda like on the seat, but put them on the dash) and also to the keys. This seems like such an elementary thing to do, and yet I don't think any manufacturer has done it right yet. Once they do this, I will definitely start ordering my cars with the Nav/iDrive option (unless they just make that standard first, and give me no choice).

Edit: And I should add that they should also optionally allow you to assign them to GPS coords so that you can have the car behave differently based on location. Of course, that setting itself should also be driver configurable.

I'm new to this neck of the woods so forgive the question as we get MDrive and iDrive std in Ireland so it's not an issue but, will it not make it more difficult to sell without these options?

There's a mentality at home at least and in most EU countries that when buying a used car you hold out for a fully specced one. Is it different here?

On the Mdrive button. I'd like the one from the M5 that gives another 100bhp

You sort of can have two M settings. Just grab the other key if you want the other M setting.

Good point. Didn't think of that. And that way you can even have a different harder driving position set too. Nice one.

Hmm. I'll have to look into that. Would that mean that I would have to know which setting I might need before getting into my car though, and thus bring the appropriate key with me?

Can't you map some of the menu settings to the preset buttons? I haven't tried to see what else you can map to it, but I've got a preset button that takes me directly to the map display regardless of what state the navigation application is in (nav button on iDrive takes me to the nav main menu the first time).

Unless your spouse isn't allowed to drive the M.

I use the two key method... but my '2nd' key is intended for Dealer, and Valet Situations... I bring that one... when I know I'm putting the car in other peoples hands... I use a key that has a 'softer' M mode... hoping to reduce any possible abuse!

I wish the M button could also control the settings on the seat-

example- A drive to the mountains-

Your cruising up the highway comfortably, your seat is tilted back a little, a little lower, the side bolsters are open making the chair more recliner like.

You reach a fun bit of twisty road and and press your m button-

then! the seat back becomes more upright, a little taller and the side bolsters squeeze you tight.

Also, it might be nice to have not only a DSC OFF button but also a MDM toggle button as well on the console....

Interesting. So what way is the car set up when you don't have those options??
Is it set up for full attack or middle of the road?
