Excuse my ignorance as I've never purchased an older year model, but if you purchased an 08 m3 today, how does the warranty work? 4 years from date of purchase or from the original manufacture date?
if you buy a dealer demo or a "punched" car it starts on the day it was demoed or punched

if it is truly a BRAND NEW car it starts on your date of purchase

hope this is clear

There is one more, it calls "BMW Speciality Demo". It means, car is
"punched" but warranty doesn't start until new owner's "purchase" date.

That way dealer could get the trunk money but warranty doesn't start till car is "sold". That's how I got mine. Car was punched on 4/30/09 but warranty started on 6/6/09 the day I purchased.

When the E92 M3 first appeared in showrooms the dealers had no problem charging "market adjustments" of $3-25K. Well.... now they are providing "market adjustments" in the other direction.

Just because you bought early and paid full price is no reason to complain about other folks taking advantage of the current market.

Once all the purchases are made.... they will start talking about mods and everything else we all like to hear about.

Just be patient and stop hating!

Thanks to both of you for clarifying.

A Great Deal

This weekend I’ll be picking up a brand new 2008 M3 Sedan Silverstone/Fox Red Extended Leather MSRP of $66 945 for $48 500 plus TT&L. They are also throwing in a set of M3 mats, touch up paint and wheel locks.

The car was punched on 4/30 so the dealer collected the $7500 rebate.

This is probably the launch M3 sedan. It has extended red leather, and the idrive, but not the tech package, so no m-drive. These were very difficult for the dealers to sell (I believe because they were manual and there was no tech package or cold weather package/no folding seats in the back). This one has been on the dealer lot since March of 2008 (1 1/3 years ago).

Yes, it is a Launch vehicle.

110 miles.

Would have liked for the car to come with the Cold Weather Package but for $18 445 off MSRP I'll take it! The fact that the car has been sitting on the lot since last year April does not bother me one bit.

Awesome deal, but I'm still happy with ordering my M3 exactly the way I wanted. It's stripped, so it won't have nearly as many options as yours.....But what can I say, I love it that way.

All the best with your bargain!

That is a killer deal. I was trying to get that exact same car I believe ? In North Carolina ? Haggart BMW ? I was dealing with someone named Kit, but they never took my offer. AT first they were asking $58k for the M3, I said no way and went lower, and they never replied back.

Alderson in Lubbock, Texas would bend over backwards to sell you the same car. Consider yourself lucky you didnt pay $58k. You could get one today for $48k.
