Changing a Thread Title? Changes can be made within 24 hours

I searched for this question and I saw 8 posts with 0 replies of people asking the same question....maybe ill get lucky and receive an answer

How do you change a thread title? I sometimes do it accidently, I try to click my thread to read new posts and it lets me edit a title but right now when I trying to do it on purpose it wont.

Is there restrictions on changing thread name after certain number of posts? or in a certain forum? cant figure it out

P.S. Editing the first post does nothing for the thread title when looking at list of threads

See a mod just changed it to "Whoa, how did that happen" and I was able to double click to the right of thread title (under thread list) and erase "Whoa, how did that happen" but on my other threads I cant

I don't understand what you mean. You're asking how you change a thread title, yet you've been changing it all along? So you know how... but you're asking how?

Like -=Hot|Ice=-, I thought Edit > Go Advanced on your initial post in the thread allows you to change the title.

There's a forum for site feedback and questions. I'm moving this thread there. Maybe someone there will be better able to help, but I think you need to clarify your question a bit more.
