Passenger side speaker problem

I have the premium speaker system and whenever I play a certain kind of tone it makes a metallic vibration or buzzing noise sometimes. It also happens when I speak on the phone using the car's speaker system. I had the same problem almost a year a go and took it to the BMW. They told me it was just a bad speaker and replaced it with a new one . It was fine until today. Do you think it is the wiring getting lose because of slamming the door or the speaker is going bad? I tried to google the problem but couldn't find anything similar. Has anyone had anything similar like this before?

...I have the same problem. Would like to know what your dealer says about the recurrence of this issue.

Doubt its from the door being slammed. Thats a blown speaker. Either you have some issue with your amp or best guess your playing bad quality songs or have your settings at distortion.

I can the noise go away as long as my speaker cover was pushed by my hand, if I keep my hand off it, the buzzing noise comes back. I think it is just a vibration between the black cover and that silver support under it.

I think it is something related with the wires or the cover around the speaker. About a year a go i had the same problem bmw told me bad speaker and replaced it. The problem was gone. However, It started again recently. If i have blown the speaker again then WOW those speakers are crap. Despite the fact that I don't listen to loud music I still manage to get this annoying problem.

I had the exact same thing. And when there would be a bassy song it would make this bad rattling noise. They replaced and I noticed it was having the same problem a igniter. But everything sounds tonal know accept with certain people I talk on the phone too.

same problem

not trying to jack your thread here, but I have the same problem I normally realize it when I listen to AM radio like Mike and Mike and a weird buzz comes from the passenger side, so your saying that if I bring it to BMW they will replace the speaker?

Ok, so I made an appointment with the dealership for the next week. They are also gonna switch my 18" winter wheels back to ZCP 19s for the summer YAY! , brake fluid change(the car is almost two years old).
Anyway I was listening to some trance music today I kept rewinding that specific tone which causes the vibration on my speakers to make sure about the problem. Well I realized the passenger mid speaker vibrates on that specific tune when the volume is high but when i go higher than that i realized other mid speakers start to vibrate too but the passenger side is more noticeable. Have you guys experienced something like that that? I also wonder does m3 premium sound has some sorta limit and after that limit mid speakers start to vibrate? Is it normal in this case? Like I said it happens when i put the volume really high in some specific tunes and when i talk on the phone.

I have an odd issue on the passenger side as well but it's completely intermittent. Not sure if it's the same as you guys are experiencing or not. Mine only happens when the car is first started though. I don't think it's a speaker issue, more likely the amp or something.

Try this
When you do find a song that makes the speaker vibrate
Push down with your thumb towards the center of the speaker grill
Basically push the speaker cover in towards the speaker
Mine does the same thing
It's the speaker cover that vibrates. Not the speaker itself

Tried this for the passenger side speaker and no help. it is coming from behind the speaker. I didn't try it for the rest of the speakers though. When i turn the volume all the way up my other mid speakers do the same thing like the passenger side does. Maybe it is the nature of the bmw speakers. Like i said it happens when i crank it up really high

I have this exact issue with my drivers side door speaker...like many of you said it only really happens with a certain tone (Sirius talk radio) and if i press my finger on the middle of the speaker grill it completely goes away...so im guessing its just vibration against the black/silver speaker grill....would they really replace the SPEAKER for this issue? that seems odd

i've got the same thing--its coming from the grill it seems. only mine is the enhanced audio, and it's on the driver's side.
as i am coming to the end of warranty, should i just get the speaker replaced?
