Dealers and Blackline tail lights

I wonder if all dealers are selling the blacklines, cause i picked up my car yesterday and when they parked it for me to jump in and 4 SA piles up behind my car

and said Where did you get the lights? I said Morristown BMW! I smiled and went in my car.

I'd think they would all have the ability to sell them... was this at a smaller dealership?
When I ordered my car, my dealer had a jet black 325i in the showroom with the blacklines, CF front splitters, and CF rear spoiler.

I think some dealerships don't want to stay updated. I asked about CF difuser cover, and dealer gave me a look, like I am asking for turbo or something. I mean he never heard of it

Didn't see it listed on their web site. Are they selling it from the parts dep?

Yeah I called yesterday they said they have 33 sets of blacklines for 180 each!

I was the first one to order them here in PR. They cost more because of the taxes we paiy for any merchandise that comes from US.

Anyway, I installed them and everybody loves them.

My dealer hasnt even heard of Betalink

I asked about Blacklines they insisted it was the rubber stuff surrounding the windshield

Yup, I gave them a call but they said just by it in Ebay its still the same. It's cheaper by $10.00.

My dealer had never heard of them and when they got them in and saw them on my Black Sapphire 330 with the OEM spoiler, they LOVED it. I asked if they will start offering them or installing them once in a while to inventory cars they said it wasn't really worth it to them. Besides, probably 99% of E90 buyers don't even know such lights exist and never even think twice about it.

Morristown BMW just lower their price to $163 plus $10 for freight that is a very good deal and they ship out the same when payment is received.

I got mine at the weekend, fitted them in 10 minutes, it's SO easy. And they look awesome!

My dealer in Manchester couldn't find them in UK stock, but they came in by DHL from Germany in 2 days for no extra charge.

£160 total.

My dealer told me their cost is $175. I think it's true because I wound up getting them for free.

Morristown may be selling them below cost as a loss leader. Either that or else they got some super good deal from BMW.

I do know that there are dealers out there, like Pacific BMW, that seem to sell certain things below cost. I guess they make it up on other things. I know the parts manager from a huge BMW dealer and he told me that some of Pacific's pricing is below cost and he didn't know how they could do it and stay in business.

Frankly, I don't care. We win. :rocks:
