Did they... shrink the front and rear?

Why?!

Seems like all coupes are generally looking the same, this swoopy type Honda Accord back end....even the 3 series and C class have it.

The angle on the first picture gives it a strange Honda Accord look. But the rear pics are awesome, looks mean especially if its going to come with new 3.0T engine.

I'm guessing it will look better in person than through what is likely a telephoto lens. Something looks off with the proportions and they seem to change between the front 3/4 and rear 3/4 views (if that makes sense).

I'd also be willing to bet that in black, with black window trim, it'll look nicer as well. I'm not a fan of that weird kink, especially since the trim piece is so thick right there.

The black concept looks (completely photoshopped but) very appealing.

Eeeeeeeeek.

As an original '03.5 G35 6mt owner, i hate the evolution. Just watered down and soft.
Side profile looks like an accord coupe. Back looks like a miata fucked a CLA or vice vers (sp?) No pun intended.

I saw the concept at the NAIAS last Jan and had big hopes...Can't wait to see it this Jan, but these pics are ick!

Gonna be the same boring interior that dates back to the original in '03. Sure there have been updates, but they haven't come very far IMO.

Just like so many other coupe or sedan from any of the manufacturer

Boring, would never want to own one.

The Japanese make solid reliable cars (I own Lexus IS300 and Lexus 470) and they've been rock solid reliable cars....but IMO there's no soul to the cars they make...sure my M3 is a little cranky when I first start in the am, but once warmed up and open road, she's a beast ! I from this point on I will always own some kind of M car for that reason. Really plan to keep this M3 my first BMW forever.

Cheers,
Merlin

It'll look good in real life. 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged, 400-horsepower V6 sounds promising.

Original G35 coupe is hands down one of the most beautiful coupes of all time. If they went more upscale with a motorsport DNA engine as well as higher end materials, it would be a classic like the e46 M3 IMO.

G37 completely destroyed the beautiful simple lines, this new one just proportionally doesn't look right. The reverse C-pillar isn't helping anything.

There's nothing really special about the new style, as it it's take design cues from other luxury sporty coupes in the market. Not sure why people find it so repulsive, it has similar shape to the F80/82? It falls in line with the design of the rest of the nissan fleet - take a look at the headlights of the maxima and other Q- series.

The G35 was unique in that there was nothing like it in the market. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that was the approach Nissan was taking with the revamp as their models are starting to look outdated. What they are good at is delivering new technology at a lower cost compared to the competition. I.e. rev match in the 370z, around the view cameras on lower model cars, remote start, etc.. These were options and in some case standard equipped on their non-flagship model cars before a majority of the other luxury brands started offering them.

The new F series looks very feminine and gay compared to the last generation. Why is that the BMW steering, buttons and controls feel so hard to engage compared to other manufacturers?
This new Q design has been in the works for the past three years at least, more than anything others are copying from here. It'll be definitely a solid car.
But if the rumours are true, the Q60 could be offered with the R35 engined, detuned of course.
Nissan or Infiniti have evolved in a good direction, even Porsche started to offer Rev match feature in few of their lineups.

Rear looks alright, but I feel the front is hideous. As I still own and drive my old g37 coupe, I expected a little more from the new Q60

Photoshopped or not, looks much better without the ugly-ass chrome trim.

I think it's great looking, and if they pair that 3.0TT V6 w/ a DCT, it could actually be good to drive, as well. Either way, I applaud them for bringing something fresh to the segment. It's currently pretty underwhelming, imo. I'd go the domestic route w/ a new GT or SS over the 435i.

Loved my 2005 G35, and thought it was a great looking car. Very black panther-like, ready to pounce. (the animal, not the group) And I agree, I think the G37 started a downhill trend. Not really impressed with this one, eiher. Looks too angry for me.

Well.. Could be worse I guess. Right up there with the new Nissans though. All this pedestrian friendly sloped hood bs is destroying car design.
