Resetting DCT?

Ive searched but can't find anything.
Just wondering if its possible to reset the DCT.?
I know you could do this with the SMG in E60 M5 by pulling both paddles in for 10 seconds or something while rolling. Does it work with the DCT in E90 M3?

There is a clutch/transmission adaptation procedure that can be performed, but nothing the end user can do with the car controls.

Ok thanks. My car only has 10,000km and sometimes I feel a slight shudder when taking off, it doesn't do it all the time, just thought if there was a reset, it may help.

You can get a judder at a certain gearbox fluid temperature. The M3 DCT pentosin gearbox fluid is quite a complicated formulation it has to allow a certain amount of slippage as the clutch plates engage but allow no slip once fully engaged across a wide range of temperatures. As I said at a certain temp you can get a certain amount of slip/stick as the clutch plates engage which feels as judder but as long as you don't get it at normal gearbox temps then you should be fine.

I would advise getting your DCT flashed with the with GTS software. It'll get rid of that jerky-ness you feel when you slow down and come to a stop and it also makes the car shift faster. I recommend Alex from Alpine.

This makes sense. Thanks for clarifying

I suppose you are talking about clutch adaptation for DCT...

Do you know how to do this? I remember reading something to rev the car a few times to 5000 revs... Unfortunately I do not find back that post. I think mine needs adaptation but I do not want to go to the dealer.

My dealer told me that there is no major button or procedure (unlike on the e60M5/6) to initiate a DCT adaptation relearn. They have to initiate the relearn based on a scanner/programmer

You need ISTA/d and an ICOM (or emulator + kdcan cable). I've done the 4 different re-learning/calibrations and my DCT got significantly smoother and more precise.
