WTB: AWD or 4x4 - SUV or Sedan - Any Suggestions?
Hi Guys, After all that snow in Northeast, decided to get a All-Wheel-Drive / 4x4.. I dont want to spend much since this will be a second car for winter time only and wont drive probably more than 2k a year.. I am not looking something too fancy and probably cannot with my budget but dont want to get a junk either.. My bugdet is around $10K Looking something; - not more than 50K miles - not too old (2002 and later) - any color Any brand / model suggestions??? Thanks in advance. |

Ive owned a few for winter days and they can get through pretty much anything and for me were very reliable and easy to maintenance. That was my experience.

I'd consider an older A4 Avant or A3, might be more like $12-15k but look around and you may find the former for $10k. Ford Escape for a small SUV if you want more ground clearance or Cherokee Sport.

Not selling mine but I got a 2007 dodge nitro sxt with a 6MT for 11500 with 58k on the clock. It's been fantastic for winter and hauling crap in the year I've owned it. I dd my m3 in the winter but my wife loves it (she calls it her monster truck).
