Wheel color choice...

First let me say that I normally think threads that ask someone to assist with a color choice are silly... it is a complete personal preference. So, here is where I'm going to ask everyone's opinion on a color choice

I am trying to choose between a smoked titanium (a.k.a. gunmetal) and silver finish for new wheels. I really could just flip a coin on this as I like both for different reasons. The car is AW.

Which color do you prefer?

SILVER ... technically this is the signature silver finish but you get the drift...

SMOKED TITANIUM

Yeah... I'm leaning towards the gunmetal too... both look great though. What's really unusual is that my wife, who normally just gets annoyed by all of the M3 stuff I do, said she thinks I should go gunmetal because I took all of the chrome off the car (front grilles, side gills, and M3 badge) so she thinks the gunmetal will flow better. I like her logic actually

I'm getting the Morr VS8.2. I have as couple of weeks before the guys at Morr's need my final color choice. Gotta say, the more pictures I see of them (like those above) the more I love them. I was set on silver until I saw the Smoked Titanium on the E90 335 above

I like the silver because it is OEM'ish and not something you are likely to get tired of. I like the Smoked Titanium because is a little more aggressive looking and unique. My winter set up (OEM 18s) are gunmetal so it isn't like gunmetal wheels and M3s are strangers.

def the smoked titanium. it looks like more of a hyperblack than a gunmetal though. I'm not a fan of gunmetal (too dull), but hyperblack is one of my favorite wheel finishes.

Another vote for smoked Ti. A bit more character than a "plain" silver wheel. And also easier to maintain! I would consider signature Ti with the black innards for some extra contrast on the concave spokes.

My winter setup is also gunmetal. Looks fantastic.

True... well so far there is a large preference to the smoked titanium wheels in the poll. I didn't think it would be that lopsided! I have to say I am leaning more and more that way myself but really like both.

I'm usually conservative with wheel color, but I have to say the smoke Ti is the perfect compromise on AW: not too common/plain (silver), and not too aggressive (black). Good luck.

Gunmetal with Alpine white all day long. It was between that and gloss black for me.
