V710 offset question
Hey guys, new to forum here. Was over on m3forum.net forever with my e46. Well, now with the E92 I have a question on wheel fitment and I promise that I searched like hell for this, but with conflicting results.
Ok, so I originally wanted the V710's in 8.5/10.0 setup. However, 8.5 is sold out everywhere. So would have to do 9.5 in the front. I am worried from the pics that I have seen that it is pretty aggressive up front for my taste. I like a flush look in the rear, but for the front tires I like them to fit inside the wheel well a bit. So they have several offsets to work with. They are.... VMR Wheels V710 19x9.5 ET22 VMR Wheels V710 19x9.5 ET33 VMR Wheels V710 19x9.5 ET45 VMR Wheels V710 19x9.5 ET50 Which one would stick out less and would it make that much of a difference? I really want these wheels and the 8.5's have no eta, but they need to look right. Thanks for the help in advance!!!!!!! |

Beautiful car!! Hmm.. so they don't look like they stick out too far in the front. So if I got an offset around 50 for the fronts, does that mean they would stick out even less? Is that correct?

8.5et29 and 9.5et23 (non-ZCP) 9et31 and 10et25 (ZCP) An offset of 50 is not aggressive enough for a 9.5" wide wheel and the tire/wheel will make contact with the front strut. The 9.5et22 is a commonly used front width/offset on the e9x M3. If you want to maintain the stock frontspacing the 9.5et33 is close to the ZCP 9et31 but you might run into backspacing issues. |

What are your thoughts in this setup? 19x9.5 ET22 and 19x10 ET25. This is what they are trying to sell me. I currently am running stock 19" tires (245/265). I plan to slightly lower in the near future with springs.
I worry that the 9.5s will be too aggressive and add unnecessary weight. I just wish the 8.5s were available. Thanks!!!! |

stock tires are too small.
9.5 f you'll need 265 10 r you'll need 275 otherwise you'll get curb rash too easily. try using your stock rears up front and just buy a pair of 275 for the rear. or try 9.5 square setup. then you'll be able to rotate tires. |

9.5" is just too wide for stock 245's. 9.5" ET22 is good for a 265 or 275 tire.
The best fitments for the M3 are: 19x8.5 ET 20 front and 19x10 ET25 rear with stock 245/35 and 265/35 tires 19x9.5 ET22 front and 19x11 rear with 275/30 and 295/30 tires VMRs are heavyish wheels, however, in the larger sizes. In the smaller sizes they weigh similar to stock. If you are going aftermarket, I would drop some weight. Alternatively, get a set of OEM ZCP wheels. VMR needs to make forged versions of their wheels. In terms of looks, they are some of the nicest in the industry IMO.

It's so right. I've had so many compliments on this set up anywhere I stop from random people. From kids to old dudes, white guys to the not so white guys at the car wash. All dudes that dig cars, dig the m3 no matter where you come from, old or young. Happens each time I take her out. All dudes unfortunately. It looks so mean and meaty. The grip is outstanding too, running pss's. |
