waxes and clay bar
i know its probably been asked a million times...
but what wax and clay bar should i get? from what i see, theres more high end stuff then i thought... I'm planning on claying my car next weekend and then waxing it, so if i could spend a little more money on something better please let me know... btw, im not a hardcore detailer or anything, i just want something nice. i think the best product I've used was some meguiars stuff. lol

I would get our stuff, not because I sell it, because it is easy to use, durable, and many M3 owners use it with positive results
I would get ... -Claybar -Tripple Polish -Tough Coat Sealant 10% online code - lift-off |

Give Chemical Guys/Smartwax a look.
Lots of products. There was a Meet/Tech Session at their Inglewood shop last month: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...errerid=152717

I wouldnt clay without polishing, and wouldnt polish without claying!
so get a claybar, a polish, a wax wash car clay car polish car clean paint wax car ESPECIALLY your red!!!! that color looks SICK when done correctly! But that is with a machine, 2-3 steps of polishing, etc |

I would listen to what a lot of recommendations here, especially from guys like Martin_D, Eric and other great detail guys.
One thing I don't really agree on though would have to be the Chemical Guys line. They have a lot of good product, but there is also a lot of redundancy in their products. If you are novice to detailing, which you might be (there is nothing wrong with that!!) stick to a product line and get very familiar with it. With that said, the last thing you want to do is become confused on a ton of products. With that said, try Auto Finesse as nothing but great things will come out of it. Good luck. If you ever want help, stop by the shop and I can give you some pointers on detailing to speed up the learning curve.

There are slight variations in products that might appear similar, not total redundancy. Each product has a place in a detailing kit.
