Need Front Spacers - Get Rear Spacers & Studs Too?
So I need 18mm spacers to clear my new Stoptech front calipers. Here's my question:
If I am putting on front spacers should I also put on rears? And is it worth converting to studs while I'm at it? Thanks. |

depends on your offsets and tires. What wheels and specs? what tires and specs? my guess is if you need 18mm up front it would look better to put 12s or so out back, but again that depends on what you have. i would change to wheel studs as well, easy and good mod to have. you will need 90mm length studs with that much spacer.

Went ahead with the 17.5mm fronts and 12mm in the back and the studs. What a let down it was when the wheels hit the calipers this morning after working till 1am on the car then waking up to bleed the brakes.
Oh well, almost done now. |

did you work with anyone on wheel selection and spacer? sounds like you have wrong offset wheels for application.

My wheels are the OEM ZCP wheels. It was just an oversight on my part and I didn't realize that the Stoptech kit requires (at least on my E46) spacers to clear. Some have said 15 others 18, so I err'd on the side of caution. This should be the last piece of the puzzle. |
