Question regarding alignment and also tire pressure.
Well since I dropped my car on eibachs i was waiting for the 2 weeks to go by so that I could get an alignment done. Well 3 weeks went by and I finally got my alignment done, but I gotta be honest, I kinda liked how the car felt with the extra negative camber. So my question is can i go to my guy or dealer and have them dial in more negative camber or would it feel wrong without doing anything to the toe?
If anyone has done it, can you suggest what setting I should have my negative camber at and if i should leave the toe alone, thank you. One more thing. I have my air pressure on the rccommended 33 and 35, but since its winter and cold as fuk, i was thinking id be better off going with mayb 40 in the back and 38 in the front or even 38 back and 36 front. Does this sound better? My front tires just seem low and mushy. |

Hey guys, been lurking here for a while, i'm an M3 owner from Scotland.
eagletangogreen - how does the dealer adjust the rear camber? I've been under my car but can't figure out where the adjustment would be made, is it possible to adjust the toe too? Great forum, best in the world no doubt! |

Not sure, but once u get under there its pretty simple. The back is like any other car I think. The toe is just a screw and the camber not sure. The front is weird tho, camber is adjust from the engine bay, not from underneath like every other car.

On the tire pressure, I leave mine stock in the winter. Those pressures add a a bit of understeer which (to me), is a good thing as cold tires can be unpredictable. In the summer months I switch them around...2 - 3 psi more in the rear that up front for the street.

Still not sure how any adjustment is done at the back on toe or camber, there appears to be no obvious place to adjust it on any of the suspension diagrams in all the BMW technical publications, hence the reason I suspect it involves shimming. Anyone got any ideas? |

Anybody knows where the camber adjustments are on the car (front and rear)?

Found this, too old to cover the E9x but I don't think it's too different to the E46. |
