Buying an M3: Is this "fully loaded"?
Hey guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on this m3, and want to know is it missing any options/features? Thank you.

From what I can tell, there is no extended leather and enhanced audio

If Nav is important to you, the '08 models have the old iDrive. You may want to budget/consider upgrading to the newer Navigation/combox system.

Is that what the old i-drive looks like? Or is the "old" referring to software only. And darn it doesnt have the upgraded audio? :/ is there a significant difference? Hope there is a way to upgrade it through aftermarket products. |

Why are you so hung up on the options, looks fully loaded, does it have everything? proably not, I don't see the all weather floor mats, but is that really what you want or need?

I agree, budget for a 2009. The idrive was updated in software and menu buttons were added around the console dial. It is far better than the 2008 version I had on my M5.
Upgraded audio is also a must IMHO. The sound quality is fantastic, and I think it has something like 800watts. |

I want to know exactly what I'm getting if I'm about to spend $50,000+ on a car. Plus, it is currently located in another state so I want to be SURE I want it. |

Nothing wrong with being picky on your options. But when you're dealing with used cars, you can be extremely picky. Consider new! |

That is the old iDrive.
The enhanced audio isn't that big of a deal, you can get better aftermarket stuff for cheaper than the upgrade to the premium sound.

Its extremely difficult to find a used m3 convertible DCT that had red interior and black exterior. I found 3 only, each of them in different states, 2 of them got sold before I could cut a deal, and this is the last one. New isnt really an option or I would go for it.

Good to hear that! I'm an audio fanatic and my 335i had upgraded sound system so I hope it sounds at least close to that.

Honestly the premium sound isn't that much better or noticeable than the regular speakers in terms of sound quality..but it does look nice

If your gonna spend 50k+ you should rule out whether a 2009+ appeals to you or not. You may disappointed in the future if you discover some missing perks at are important to you.

Thanks for the info guys. Ya I pretty much called every single dealer in Southern California, some in North Cali, searched every used car website and did not find any other black on red converts. The color scheme is just too good to not get because of the audio system And I liked my 07 335i's i drive system, this cant be worse than that lol.

I couldn't reply with a PM. You've exceeded your storage space.
Regarding your question... That's a pretty good price especially from a dealer. Pull the trigger, my friend.

I've had an 08 m3 and now I'm driving an 09. The i-drive is a HUGE difference. You can save music to your hard drive via cd or usb. The extra buttons around the knob make life so much easier too. The software looks way better. The navigation looks 10x better.
