only when ISO is set to auto, you can choose it yourself.

if not, check what firmware you're on, and that may be in an update, could be wrong though.

I'm running 2.0.9. Damn, this camera is more complicated.

I was hoping I wouldn't need to open up the manual, but it's not obvious how to turn off auto ISO.

no need to open manual.

ISO button is on the top, then rotate top finger dial to desired ISO setting.

you can also get down to 50 ISO, but you have to get into some of the extended menus, I pretty much never shoot 50, the files jump up in size immensely, and there really is no purpose to it.

Do any of you guys use the BlackRapid RS-4 strap? If so, how do you like it? Is it worth it, etc?

The single shoulder strap? If so, yes recommend, takes a lot of weight off the neck.

Great for walk about shoots, not so great for in session photoshoots, but even then, I donrt like having a strap

Also, if you have 2 cameras. One is at your side, and one on your neck

Definitely will recommend for you.

since the connector attaches to the tripod mount, does it scratch it up? Also, seems a little weird to have the camera dangling by your hip... is that comfortable?

I've got the RS-7 and it is a great strap! I bought it before the RS-Sport or RS-Sport 2 came out (which I would have bought instead), but the RS-7 is still great. I like the curved pad better than the standard RS-4 setup.

It holds my D3 + 70-200 quite comfortably for hours on end...

Thanks Scott. Would you recommend the RS-Sport 2 over the RS-4/7 line?

Never noticed anything, its ruberized on the bottom of the camera, and the connector has rubber, so only concern is the rivits on jean pockets.

Honestly, I bang my camera more off things when its on my neck. When its at your side, its right where your hand falls, so I'm usually holding it when its there.

Yeah man... got it today. I'm surprised they shipped it without any problems.

I'm thinking about walking down the street to check out the Avengers set. I figured since it's getting late, I can try out the 5D2 high ISO stuff.

hmm... what lens to take? Not sure how close I can get to the set.

That's not bad... I think it's rated to 150k. You're not even halfway there yet!

yeah yeah... I think it's 300k for the 1D line as well.

Thanks to excitement, I forgot that I was walking around downtown Cleveland after sunset... let's just say that walking around alone with nearly $3k of photography equipment didn't make me comfortable.
