meisterschaft gt2

hey guys i just got the meisterschaft gt2 installed yesterday along with the sr2 connecting pipes. Also got myself a vorsteiner double sided carbon hood and boot. I wanted to know about two things.
1. Today I was running along with a few friends and there were some high speed runs and after sometime there was the " front hood open " sign flashing but it was completely secure so am confused about why it was there and should i put hood pins on it so as to keep it totally secured??

2. I installed the exhaust and now checked out a few posts the connecting pipes are in position but do i need something on them where they come close to the diff?? ( dont have a pics of this area but ill get it up by tomm or so )

posting a few pics of the car btw.

Thanks
Arjun
p.s im so glad im at this forum as it helped me out a lot with deciding what to get . Thanks everyone

Looks good and clean! Just don't go overboard on the CF.
It's good balance right now w/t the hood and boot.

Are those welds on your exhaust? If so, why so many? I only have the GT so I guess the GT2 comes this way?

OP's GT2 is the titanium version.

Got it. Haven't seen the Ti version before so I didn't know how it was supposed to look.

The fitment of the hood looks off. Huge gap between it and the front grill and lights.

when i went to get the car i noticed it myself so refitted it again and the gap decreased but i think i need to work on it more as there was the hood open light yesterday after i went for a drive with my friends ( lp570 , carrera s and an AM V8 vantage )
OT- Nailed the AM vantage in a drag and the carrera was no competition too )

Btw front kidney grills , side grill and the hood vents are on their way to me and any suggestions for a front bumper????

Thanks

Your front bumper looks good man with the Hamann lip. But if you really want a full bumper replacement, the Amuse looks good IMO.

You have a few choices when it comes to a full Bumper replacement.

1. RD sport.

2. Amuse/Ericsson.

3. Hamann.

Your lip looks good so don't see the need to go full bumper. Spend that money on something else.

just uploading a few pics after i got it home and cleaned it properly.
OT- i know the hood is a bit off and i got to take it to the BMW workshop to get it fitted again properly but really busy these days and thinking that ill take it when my cf front and side grills arrive .
For the front bumper then ive decided not to change it and would use the dough to get the cat delete x pipe and other goodies.
The effect of putting a carbon boot lid and a lighter exhaust system is - it is more tail happy now compared to before when it was stock , i think this is because of the weight reduction.

Your MGT2 looks a bit off to the driver's side in the last pic. Also, it looks a bit high, like it's almost going to rub agains your diffuser. I'd get your installer to heat up the hangers and adjust it a bit.

My MGT fit perfect but because of my diffuser my installer heated up the hangers and got the tips a bit lower to leave at least a pinky gap.

my exhaust fit perfectly w/o the diffuser and this diffuser is just a temporary one ... im ordering a new one so i think it should line up when the new diffuser goes in.
Secondly , i had a big meet coming up so i had got this installed overnight would be working on it next weekend .
Thanks for the advice though reeli appreciate it.

Hood looks way better now! Good call on dropping the bumper idea.

got the gap between the hood and the grill fixed today. The problem was that i hadn't closed it properly . The people at BMW told me that there are 2 latches that keep the hood locked and as the weight of the hood is less than before it wasnt pushed down properly thus one of the lock was open. Now it looks perfect , fits like an oem.
