Few pics of the track wheels (TE37SL's wrapped in Pilot Sport Cups)
Picked up a set of 18" TE37sl's from Alekshop a few weeks ago just in time for a day at Laguna. It's incredible how much lighter these wheels are compared to the stock 359m's.
I also had them wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. Wonderful tires, but only time will tell how long they last. They are a huge improvement over my Yokohama AD08's. If they can hold up for a track season I'll definitely buy them again. I also had a chance to drive them (not hard) in some light rain while breaking them in and had no issues at all. I'm assuming standing water (puddles) is where things can get tricky. Just thought I'd share a few photos taken at the track paddock. I also rode passenger for a session in Aleks' GTR and the power and grip on that car is incredible. However, I still prefer the M3 for the high strung V8, RWD, and manual transmission.

Were you able to put these in the trunk and install the track? or did you drive to Laguna with them on?
I recently purchased some track wheels as well, was worried about them fitting even with the seats down.

They all fit in the back seat with the seats up. Just line them up side by side across the seat. This leaves room for all my other tools in the trunk. I wrapped them in large plastic tire bags the first time, but I bought some tire rack wheel/tire totes for the future.

Thanks! I have red stickers, but don't think they will look that great with the yellow calipers. I'm going to try and get black ones made at some point. I think that would be subtle and look pretty good.

KW V3's and stock camber with the pins pulled. I think it's around -1.8?

Nope. Not at all. Tires are 265/35-18 and 295/30-18.

They seem good as new aside from the pieces of melted tire that got picked up from the race group that ran before our group.
Thanks. It's the Challenge GT3 painted black.

That looks like a nice combo. Offhand do you know if people are running that wheel square 275/35R18?

Your taste and execution are in the top tier of this forum. Good to see you putting the M3 to great use. Brembos, KWs and TE37SLs with cup tires....you're going to have a good time =)
Edit: I do have one question. Do you have your bumper or hood 3M wrapped? I'm sure the car can take a beating at the track. |

Thanks! Yes, this car is only fun at the track now. I've been spoiled.

My bumper, mirror caps, front fenders, and front lip are wrapped. I would have done my hood as well, but I already have too many rock chips to make it worth it. If I ever get it repainted or replaced (cf hood?), I'll definitely be wrapping it. Clear bra is a must, IMO. I wish I would have done it when I first got my car.
