Thoughts on what I should do with this spare/project trunk?

Well since you are probably going to use it for track days. I would not spend the money on getting it painted. I would just wrap it. Paint is only going to get messed up at the track anyways. Go with the cheapest functional option which would be wrapping it. Now if you are going to drive around with it eveyday then I would say paint it or if you were going to be in a show. But your not so fuck it.

are you going to leave it on all the time? if so.. get that thing painted.

if not, go with a matte wrap. but that's still going to cost you $300.. might as spend a little more and have it body colored actually.

glad your getting more into tracking.. its awesome.

i need to install my chicken wing, i've been lazy.

Just wrap it matte black yourself for like $50-60. If you really want paint, hit up Ayed. Should be ~$200. Does a decent job. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=709212

LOL I almost put that up as a poll option actually, but I figure the PlastiDip rage squadron wouldn't be too far behind, and I don't want the hair pulling and skin scratching in the thread. I figure I'm bound for some serious business opinions already, what with the thread being what it is.

I have a can in my garage left over from other uses actually.

paint it to match. If your like me doing it any other way will eat at you and you will end up painting it in the long run. Save yourself the headache and the money of the other options and just do it legit the first time.

Lip spoiler? Do you mean the trunk spoiler, or the front lip? Both are available for sale: The Downforce USA front lip is sold by Platte Forme a.g., and the 3D Designs trunk spoiler is sold by multiple vendors, like PFag and (formerly) WSTO, etc.
