Thanks to the magic of Forza 2 and the ability to paint cars in colours from other cars

Nice, theCSL. Did you make that? I wonder if Forza has a GT3 RS? If so, I'd love see the M3 in GT3 RS orange and green.

Yep, that's one of the cars in my garage. The GT3 RS is in there and I already used its orange on the E92, I'll do one in the green tonight and post it.

Sweet! Can you get the orange one in the same profile as the LSB above?

Man if BMW sold the M3 in orange I would definitely choose that color. There is a pic of an orange one from the middle east somewhere on the forum, and it looks sick. But GT3 RS orange would look even better.

I gotta admit, that LSB pict. really looks hot on the e92 M3. I never loved it on the e46, and I even owned a LSB e46 M3 coupe, but I LOVE IT on the e92.

Too bad we will never see it again.

BMW execs tried and tested previous colors for the E92 M3 and discontinued certain colors that did not fit with the sleeker body style of the E92. Laguna Seca Blue was one of them. While there is demand in North America for this color there is no demand in Europe or Asia to warrant a reintroduction.

Whilst you ask that can you order a "special color" what happens in Germany is that your order is flagged up indicating it is not a country specific model.
Your countries distributor is notified who in turn notifies your dealer that the order cannot be commenced as it is not specification for that country.

Specially built "Individual" packaged models such as the Neiman Marcus M6 will still continue to be available but handbuilt special customer models will not be available for North America.
those bmw execs need to make a quick optometry visit if they tested the color out and came to a conclusion thinking it did not fit right with the E92 body style. laguna seca blue IS THE ///M brand. Its in the damn logo people!!!

Is that real? Or p-shopped? Guess it goes well with BMW orange peel paint. j/k. I think it actually looks very good. I'd consider it if it were offered.

Thanks. Hadn't seen that post. Now I feel so bad about the joke. I'll just crawl off in the corner and eat worms now.

Personaly I perfer a color that is not as eye catching. Most speeders are visualy spoted then followed and busted. In a world full of white and silver autos yellow and orange cars stand out way too much. But I guess they are safer in yellow reflector vest kind of way.

6 months ago, my dealer told me that he could get a 335i in "Paint to Sample" for about $3G, and had done it before. Maybe he was wrong, maybe it's not available on the ///M, or maybe people have bought the line of $hit that their sales rep sold them because their rep didn't know how to handle the paperwork, and feel the need to stop anyone else on this board from trying to get something they didn't.. In my opinion, LSB is a horrible color. I would have loved to get the M in the dark midnight blue, whatever its name was, but didn't even ask as I don't feel like waiting for the 2010 model year to come before I get my 2008 specially painted car. If you have more patience than I do, go for it.
