Looks doubtful...
Scott26 said over at Germancarzone.com that they are trying really hard to NOT have any leaks whatsoever with the launch. The night before the Geneva show there will be a special pre show unveiling for the Swiss dealers in a locaton close to the show. I think we are just going to have to wait until the show opens. Ugh.

If a car's worth waiting for, it's this one.

The E46 has various differences other than the gear lever. Some are significant, others are not very noticable. Some that come to mind: different gauge design (background and needle color, variable redline, M logo, etc.); different standard and optional seats; different steering wheel with M stitching; slightly different armrest design; oval mirror shape; dark colored headliner; and shadowline or titan shadow interior trim.

Wow, you pick some odd threads and places in those threads to post. Any who may reply to me other than Scott: I know Scott is probably making some clever little "leaks", but my questions and comment still remain. |

I think Scott enjoys getting us worked up. After all, he probably works in some marketing or PR related function, so this is in some ways a natural extension of his job. The problem for him is that he cannot provide anything of substance because of the info embargo. So instead he must resort to quotes from the PR material.

Though I will say this, whenever the X5 'ring' commercial comes on I have to pause and watch in awe. And I usually note to my girlfriend that the X5 rounds the ring in sub-10, while the new M3 is lapping near 8. What the... If there was ever a car that BMW could market, this is the one. |
