Can you define this a bit better?

ie...Faster acceleration at lower RPM's. Increased sound or torque etc?

Thanks.

The charge pipe significantly increases the intake volume post filter, which means the pressure differential between pre filter and post filter is increased (remembering there is a restrictive filter in the middle). When you go open the throttle, this should mean greater air speed through the intake system, hence sharper throttle response. Kind of like how a free flowing down pipe makes the turbine wheel spin faster...

That's my theory away

Trying to get a strange issue with a rev limiting type sound in 1st gear sorted out - BMW finally think it's DSC related but it's a slow process with them and the car needs to stay stock...

This is subjective, so take it for what it's worth.

I kinda felt something was holding the car back below 3k RPM when I first took delivery. You know, it needed a little more pressure on the gas than I imagined. Of course, over 4K RPM it was impressive with such a broad band of linear power. After the first 1200~1500 miles, the low RPM throttle response got better. With a performance filter, it also got better. With the charge pipe, the car feels much more unbridled. I pushed the car a bit hard this morning and the sharper throttle response was definitely more pronounced at lower RPM.

Yes, I feel that the car accelerates better at lower RPM. The exhaust note is about the same, but the tone is a bit smoother.

Again, this is all subjective.

Here is Novablackm3's close up of the charge pipe picture. It does say "MADE In USA" on the badge. Hope this help! =)

Uh-Oh! Why?

A couple more questions:

***If you have a Macht Schnell Filter already, is there any reason to get the entire system over just the Charge Pipe? Really?

***Where are the Dyno's for this product?

I really thought we'd see more people proving the gains for this product are real.

I'm really interested in grabbing it, but definitely need to see some more real world dyno results.

Thanks to all!

Question about RPI Scoops and the Charge Pipe!

Thanks for your answers. Good luck on the Supercharger!

So the Charge Pipe is the real difference maker on this system.

Would the RPI scoops still offer any advantage with the Charge Pipe installed or would they become unnecessary at this point?

Thanks.
