E25 gas on a SC M3
Hello guys,
I searched a lot in this forum and I could not find anything clear about it. O sent the same questions to different tuners (companies) and could not get it clear either. Well, I hope that Someone help me. I'm running an e25 gas (95 octane mixed with 25% of ethanol). Unfortunately there is a law here about it, so there is not another fuel Option. My tune is from the company that built the kit (doesn't matter which one), and as far as I know, in the US there is no fuel like the one I have here. My question is: is there any problem in that? Should a get another tune, calibrated for this e25 Gás? Thanks all. |

I probably have 25 or more posts on this specific subject including dynos, etc. so I guess the search function doesn't work any longer.

Don't you love it when these people come and make a thread saying "I searched and couldn't find anything?" Complete bullshit. That or they absolutely suck at using the internet. Probably both.

Haha this is your welcome to bimmerpost! We are messing with you. It's all good.
Yes you are safe running e25 on an ESS kit. I did it with an ESS 650 kit running 570 wheel horsepower for years. I had the blue injectors. With fuel systems, when in doubt definitely test your AFRs with a wideband if you are unsure if you are running low on fuel. Best of luck and welcome!!

Thanks for the tip, I already had a tough time in my SC kit with the idle control valve! Ive looking for the part number of my Injectors (my kit is from VF and the I jectors are not the green ones - VF-620). Seems like the companies can't say the part numbers. I wonder why... but anyways. I appreciate your help. Great to see that we have a good community here! Best regards! |

They were using the "green giant", 42lbs, but now they changed to a newer and better injector. I must find out their fuel capacity, cause in the future could be necessary to change them, I don't know... I wonder if anyone who bought a VF-620 or higher in the past few months could help me! For what I looked for, the closer injector I found was Bosch #0.280.158.123, but I need to make sure those are the correct ones. |
