Looks brand new. Are they still making them? I sure do wish 30.06 ammo were more affordable. That's a seriously powerful battle rifle. IMHO, the last "true", "battle rifle".

Only shot it in an indoor range so far (takes time to get membership @ outdoor ranges), max inside is 51 feet, when I rested it I could hit a dime easy using iron sights.

It's WAY cheaper to shoot the rifle then a 9mm though, I shoot 300 rounds going to the range (sometimes more) with a glock that's $60, if you shoot 120 rounds ($60 worth) on the garand my shoulder is going to be dying.

Sweet, I've owned 2 in the past. They can be very accurate and fire over a long distance. I actually had one set up for high power rifle competition. As foe power I put a round clear through about a 8 inch tree once from about 20 yards. Had an M14 for a while also, same concept except more expense because you could blow through ammo really fast. Get yourself a good shooting jacket that will save on the shoulder some, those things will kick your ass...haha

One of, if not the greatest rifle ever made. I LOVE this platform. They are incredibly accurate provided they are in good condition. Fun to shoot and the ting noise the clip makes on ejection is fawkin cool!

That & an Enfield .303 were the first muscle rifles I fired on the range.
