Any Major repairs ahead?

I have an 08 DCT with 60k miles that I would love to drive until it drops. Assuming that is not relatively soon. I just had a small scare with a throttle actuator that I had repaired for what I feel was a good price. Are there any expensive repairs that are common that would cause me to consider getting into a newer vehicle with warranty.

^ tough to predict.

Was the 60k service done? Aside from the Idle Air Valve Actuator you mentioned, there really aren't many "common" failure points on this car and it is generally very reliable. Sounds like you just got the car so wouldn't make sense to trade up to something newer and more reliable at this point.

This generation is a good example of "take care of the car and the car will take care of you".
