retrofit a 08 airbox for a 2010 filter

Is there an easy install adapter for the engine air box to retrofit an 08 car to use a OEM 2010+ air filter element?

thanks. I think this unit allows a 2010+ airbox to use a 2008 style filter, but is there one that works vice versa in which I can just pop my 08 "nub" off and install a shorter one in it's place to use a 2010+ filter?

2 reasons:

1. I accidentally bought a 2010 air filter... d'oh

2. apparently US 2008 and 2009 filters is a charcoal filter, which is more restrictive than the 2010+ paper filters. (all euro filters and boxes are the same, so you dont' need to worry)

incidentally, i have a 2010+ filter for sale for $28 shipped, if anyone's interested...
