Are you kidding me? What prompts somebody to start a thread like this?

File you insurance and go get a new car. Sheesh.

I believe so, but they might not be obligated to continue coverage! Not a good thing to be "dropped" by an insurance company...

Question was more of a general one in nature, not necessarily specific to OP, your trite response aside.

Glad you are both okay -- sometimes vehicle collisions can expand into multi-car suck-fests.

So I noticed on the photograph that the roll-protection bars are extended from the rear headrests -- and assuming all the airbags deployed, too. Any casual observations on the roll-protection bars and how they functioned? Noisy? Loud "bang?" Didn't draw any attention... ?

Thanks in advance.

"Admit it"? Is your definition of "admitting it" putting this on a public forum, with all of the broad brush apology? It is followed by 7 pages of "awww, its ok" so I expect the blow back.

Are you in the same age range as OP, ie high school? Grow some stones, learn from the mistake, recover and move on.

And what does my age have to do with anything? Are you mad because I'm 17 and my parents bought me the M3 as a graduation gift? I'll have you know that I pay for half of the mods myself.

I wish I had parents back when I was your age that bought me things like that. That's pretty damn awesome!. I'd be proud to have loaded parents like that.

but unfortunatly its people in this situation/age group who dont really appreciate the toys like people who worked hard and matured to be in a postion to own an expensive car...I was driving used beaters till I was 25..and got into my first brand new car at 26 on my own..

I work near Wall St..all day long people talk about harsh economic times ..I dont see it when you have expensive gifts like this being lavished on (let face it) kids!!

My graduation present out of high school was my folks paying my college tuition not buying me a $70K car and paying for half the mods

But hey if you got it..flaunt it ..eh?

That sucks man!

Everyone makes mistakes!

You have a great attitude and are accepting responsibility!

That is what insurance is for!

You will feel better, but it will take a little while - eat some delicious chocolate! : )

I saw this and was like WTF?!? ... then

So gullible.

Even without knowing anything about SehrSchnell, by looking at his join date (Dec 2007) and claimed age (17 years old) he started posting on M3post at age 12. Man, you are a prodigy!

Major bummer

That's the second car identical to mine (space gray, fox red, E93 M3) I've seen damaged today. I hope we aren't cursed.

This guy who parks next to me at work took delivery a few months ago. I don't know how it happened but it's not nearly as bad as yours:

honestly I didn't really get the chance to notice. everything looked, sounded, and felt like a really big sneeze where I ended up steering the car straight by looking under a gap in the crumpled hood and parking the car.
